What’s in a nudge? Driving behaviour for the better. The ability to architect choice is Boitshepo’s superpower/hidden talent.

Boitshepo has been a part of the niche behavioural science fraternity for the bulk of her career. With her key expertise lying in the financial services industry, she is passionate about nudging better financial decisions.

Boitshepo set out on her journey as a Researcher in Applied Behavioural Economics after completing her Honours in Economic Science at the University of the Witwatersrand. She was instrumental in building from inception South Africa’s leading behavioural economics team at Genesis Analytics, and her career has progressed phenomenally since then.

In 2019 Boitshepo moved to the UK in pursuit of her MSc at the University of Sheffield. Upon her return to South Africa, Boitshepo rejoined Genesis Analytics’ Financial Services Strategy practice, where she worked on a number of financial strategy and financial inclusion projects, and led the behavioural economics team. One of Boitshepo’s flagship projects involved encouraging consumers to remain committed to their savings goal. This work in turn had considerable benefits for her client.

Boitshepo is a Lead Behavioural Science Consultant and Director and is based in Johannesburg.
