Kornel Klusoczki
Advisor
“Roughly speaking, losses hurt about twice as much as gains make you feel good.”
This quote from Richard Thaler is where it all began for Kornel, leading him to start applying heuristics within technical environments within financial institutions.
Kornel’s career has been both international and intercultural. He started out with GE Money in Hungary, before heading to Denmark for a challenging opportunity with a pureplay, digital bank. From 2007 he worked within a range of roles spanning value-based pricing, product development and behavioural economics at Raiffeisen Bank head office in Vienna, Austria. His experience covers private individual and business banking customer segments in Scandinavia, Central Eastern Europe (Austria, Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia), Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and South Eastern European countries.
His enthusiasm for behavioural economics follows his first-hand experience of how customers have often responded to the rational endeavours of banks. New products have been designed, for example, with optimal pricing calculated through extensive and pragmatic customer research and rational data analytics, only to find customers responding apparently irrationally to the propositions time and time again.
Kornel has a MBA from the University of Miskolc, Hungary, Executive Diploma from Consumer Bankers Association (USA), and Certified in Digital Marketing Strategies at the Columbia Business School. He is based in Vienna, Austria.
